CPL Ground Classes
The DGCA CPL (Commercial Pilot License) exam is a series of computer-based theory tests conducted by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, India, for aspiring pilots. Candidates must pass subjects including Air Navigation, Meteorology, Air Regulations, Technical General, and Technical Specific with minimum 70 marks in each subject.
Air Navigation
Earth's geometry, rhumb line, great circle navigation, and magnetism, Calculations on time (UTC, IST, LMT), fuel, and distance, radio instruments - VOR, DME, ADF, and Instrument Landing System (ILS), pneumatic, magnetic and gyro instruments, flight planning, mass & balance, performance of aeroplanes and much more.

Meteorology
The exam tests both theoretical understanding and practical interpretation of weather including topics like atmosphere, pressure & Winds, thermodynamics, clouds & Precipitation, aviation Hazards, weather Reports like METAR, TAF, SIGMET, and synoptic charts, and Indian Climatology.

The syllabus is based on international standards set by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and specific Indian laws. Radio Telephony Restricted (Aeronautical)
